PCR isn't even a technology that can be used for making actual tests. You run PCR for a certain number of cycles, and the more cycles you run, the more of your target molecule it results in.

In other words, you can PCR a "test" into 100% positives or 0% depending how many cycles you do. It really is that stupid.
