Python won years ago. R has become pretty irrelevant since it’s height 5 years ago. Julia is the next contender.

Are you sure you aren’t using AI to write these? The absolute non-decisiveness is kind of a give away.

R was interesting when people were making neural networks by hand with matmuls directly. It’s advantage was native data frames. But now that python has Pandas for data frames and Pytorch for cuda accelerated tensor operations, and all the models and Huggingface libraries, R is dead.

If people want a language with a vectors as a primitive, Julia produces faster code with a better language, that is easily cuda accelerated.

That’s why no one I know has ever asked Python or R in the last few years. Who even asks that question?
