Yes, many tabs are a problem. But negativity is not a solution. And telling us they're open loops (some may be but certainly not all) is bad without legit reasons is not helpful.
Even read it to the end. I'm more disgusted at the article than my excessive tabs.
I'm running an experiment. Not exactly what it says in the linked article. However I have hidden my tab bar and I'm trying to reuse the same tab as much as possible. I do make use of the back button as well as browser history. I can also switch tabs but I generally avoid a tab overview. I sometimes open a tab list in the sidebar but only temporarily. I will report back in a month.
