What do you guys make of this? Researchers claim that towers first appeared for defense and later as status symbols, built by aristocrats, and that they were demolished for various reasons like safety as there are earthquakes which also destroyed some of them. One comment on jewtube claims that you can easily spot which buildings are shortened towers so that'd be a way to verify it. What I find fishy is that there was no cultural memory of it. The hypothesis dates from the 19th century from a count who had an agenda of raising the prestige of the city. Clearly biased. If people can't even agree how many towers there were during the peak (with estimates ranging between 80 and 200), why am I supposed to believe the story in the first place?

I had to look it up but I heard about this here, 8 months ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ikg3-GQLg3g&t=151s (11:42) Might have seen a bit more elsewhere.
Turns out there's lots more. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=bologna+towers
The best part is that A.I. can really sell the story.
Welcome to the Pseudoverse.
This is a topic for My Lunch Break I'm curious what he thinks of it.
