I don't know how much programmers charge for their time. Is 20 reasonable or is that too low? I'm not sure what a reasonable price for this would be but I doubt it would take longer than 10 minutes. I just need the server to run and the source code and instructions to run it are already there.
That's the thing. It has a high chance of taking very little time, but a decent chance of taking longer if there's some aweful dependency issue. Programmers charge based on the most time they think something could take. If somehow I've misread it and it's install hell 3 hours. Then programmers have kind of a minimum they even consider. Plumbers and electricians are the same way.
I'd say because there is a good chance it's short I'll low ball myself on the top estimate and say $60. If it was a plumber and you had a five minute job they would charge $100 minimum.
Crypto would be my top preference but we could work something out if you don't have that.
That sounds fair. Maybe take a look at it first and see if it's something that looks fast. I'm pretty sure it's pretty straightforward and if you want you could just tell me how to do it. The main issue is that I have no clue where to start. But 60 is reasonable.
I guess the last question I have is what’s the target system? Do you have a VPS or do you want to run it on your desktop? Do you want me to figure it out a server for you?
Billing based on the top estimate of time means there’s time to do that kind of stuff too. So just let me know.

I just want to run it on my laptop. I don't need to set up the server or anything right now. I just want an offline version of runescape on my computer that I can mess with. Live chat works for me.
