The point is this doesn't make American citizens richer. This war doesn't benefit us. Making China poor isn't really an accomplishment. The whole world is poorer collectively as a result of us chasing Israel into a conflict with Iran.
Also, US citizens pay those tarrifs.
Notice that Q1 and P1 and P2 are the same in both charts. It doesn't matter if the tax is levyed against China or US citizens. It's identical. Why would anyone be excited to be taxed?
If there was any possible just war worth fighting today it'd be with China. They released a bio weapon on the world and faced no punishment, making it look as if trump was in on it.
