I don't know anything about it, but I'm thinking, this being a security conscious crowd, somebody around here is bound to have an opinion?
In a nutshell, duckduckgo state that their browser have these advantages over Chrome:
Private searches by default
Chat privately with popular AI chatbots (optional)
Blocks third-party trackers from Facebook, Google and others
Blocks targeted ads
Blocks cookie pop-ups
Plays YouTube videos without targeted ads
Blocks email trackers
Deletes browsing data with just one click
Deletes your personal information from sites that sell it
Helps restore your identity
Protects your connection with a VPN
But is it true? How good are these advantages? Their comparison table is here:

I don't know I use Brave instead of Chrome.
Yeah me too, I just like to look at options.
Duckduckgo is ideologically subverted trash
All security promises are fake of course. But duck doesn't even have unique searches it's all the same as google anyway
What the other guy (whose comment is invisible on Submatrix for no clear reason) said: just use Brave if you want a Chromium with extra shit on top. Brave has extended support for Manifest v2 so you can have the real uBlock with real content filtering. It's the only Chromium fork that's bareable imo. Another good one is Unjewgled Chromium for it has good sandboxing and a low attack surface and guts Chromium from its spyware (that's the point of it) but a bit lackluster in terms of features. This is not touching on the non-chromium based browsers. But DDG browser sounds like a bit of a meme they are an ads company.
