I tried it out. It looks interesting as a slack alternative. To be fair, everything is more interesting than slack.
But I tried it for it's promise to be a GitHub alternative. It seems to have no such features. So I guess those are comming?
It seems to use a git based system to synchronize the 'slack' state across a distribution of members. So it's git under the hood, rather than git on top.
True. Maybe it's a good argument for local models. Then you'll see when an infinite token loop happens. Also, a downside is you can't see which team member is causing the most token spend. If it's humans interacting with humans with their own AI tools supporting them, then you can see when someone isn't productive but somehow has a high token spend. But here someone could stir up drama in the AI chat (even unwittingly), and you can't measure that.

I'm scared that the agents can eat up tokens bickering with each other and run up your bills.

I think it is build into the AI design to waste tokens.
