What's your favourite pre-hays code film? I really like Female (1933) about a female business tycoon who has some casual affairs with men but is ultimately bored by them but then meets a man who at first rejects her, which only increases her intrigue. It's not a perfect film, actually it's one of the few films of that era that I've seen. I really liked Holiday but I've seen the 1938 version, that's post-code so it doesn't count.
