"What we know" is what we can see in several videos, and specifically what the lady with the pink coat recorded on her phone, showing, without a doubt that Pretti tried to help a woman who was attacked by ICE, held his hands up when approached, and was held down, while an ICE boarder guard removed a gun from Pretti's back holster and AFTER that another ICE boarder guard shot Pretti several times in the back. That's "what we know". For ABC to merely quote the US government's obvious lies and state that there is some disagreement is NOT 'what we know' about what happened. It's obvious evidence that the US government and ABC cannot be trusted. And that's the mission of Project 2025: reduce government and the MSM to a discredited shell that billionairs and corporations can manipulate.
Both this death and Renee Good's death were tragic regardless of who was at fault or how blame could be divided. Both individuals put themselves in bad situations and, in my opinion, were primarily responsible for the outcome. Pretti knowingly went to a violent protest armed with a handgun and two magazines. What was his reasoning? He then physically injected himself into that situation and physically obstructed and resisted in a lawful police action. The video evidence shows he had an object in his hand that was the size of a cell phone or a gun when he was shot. The officers had the right to think that he was a deadly threat at that time, as they had already removed one gun from his person. This is a similar situation as the Ashli Babbit shooting.
Seems like a good summary of the mental gymnastics the fascists are trying to get everyone to believe.
Regardless of political interest, everyone knows that we have the right in some states to carry guns, and they know that we can walk wherever we want in public, and they know that ICE approached the handful of people with whistles, intent on getting out and attacking them, and we know Pretti was unarmed when he was shot, and there was nothing else in his hands, and ICE are not police or FBI and should be at the boarders, because they're boarder guards, and obviously not trained and some of them are convicted criminals, guilty of treason against the US, and we know that the video evidence is sufficient to show two people executing an unarmed man on a public street who put up no resistence, tried to help a lady who was being attacked, and had been in retreat when the ICE criminals attacked him for no appropriate reason. We also know that there is a flood of lies from the fascist propagandists, telling us the opposite of what we can see in the video evidence. This should concern everyone. It's not the US that any decent person wants. It's literally the opposite of what anyone who believes in and understands the US Constitution wants. The lack of a national strike over what happened is also deeply concerning.
Carrying a firearm is not the issue. Carrying a firearm while injecting yourself into a violent situation when you could retreat is the issue. He was forced out of the situation but came back anyway.
Where did you get your information from about ICE intending on attacking protestors? The videos of both deaths show violent resisting while armed (even if the firearm had been removed by one agent...you have to assume the cell hone could be another) and one victim using her car as a weapon (even if she didn't mean to strike the agent).
Look at the videos. There was no violence until the ICE vehicle arrived. Pretti and very few others others stood in the street blowing whistles. That's not violent. You can see that's all they are doing until the ICE vehicle arrives, they get out, attack the lady, and then attack him, as he hovers over the lady to protect her.
He's also not "violently resisting" anything, He's face down, on his knees, and held there by several ICE criminals (6 of them?). He couldn't move. That's when his gun is taken away from him. After that he's shot in the back 10 or 11 times. He had a phone originally in his right hand. Not sure what happened to it.
