It's been a day since my last post - but this only gets one point?
Why wait at all if the bonus points for a video don't show?
Why bother taking the time to prioritize for bonus points if they're arbitrary?
Why have bonus points at all?
It's fake votes.
Make the "bonus points" hidden in the algo if you must meddle.
The QUALITY of the content will EARN the votes - arbitrary timing should not.
I want to see the score VALUED by how people ACTUALLY vote, not half-algo + half-community votes.
At the very least, IMO, all bonus points should evaporate and be subtracted over time so the authentic score is reflected a week later when getting exposure is no longer an issue. Otherwise the scores will be a useless gauge on how good content is.
Each of them are great, but together they are greater than the sum of their parts.
I look forward to every month when these 3 get together as "Cognitive Dissidents" for the best round-table discussion on all the things. I recommend going back to catch past monthly episodes. I mean to go back over 7 or now 8 shows at my computer because I can listen at work but can't take notes, screenshot memes, or hunt down links, videos, or sources to investigate further.
