But where alternate currencies are being used there probably isn't many taxes being calculated. If we made an effort to grow these parallel economies more people could opt out or at least partially opt out.

It's not simple. ALL governments are evil mafias. They make tricks to trap you - but if you know your shit it can be worth it.
