The timing of this tragedy is convenient for Walz.

He was under significant pressure for the child care money laundering scam that was being used to support "Somaliland."

The geographic location of Somaliland is strategically important, but I'm sure it's just a coincidence.

There are no plans to exile any Palestinian people to Somaliland.

Although I'm no expert, I'm pretty sure deploying (the states?) national guard ageist lawful federal agents acting under the orders of the democratically elected president is the very definition of treason.

[-]jerryk0(0|0)

Sure. However, when the President is regularly committing treason, it's OK, right?

[-]HiddenFox1(+1|0)

If he committed treason then he should be impeached.

The Kangaroo Court show trials will be the distraction that never ends. He'll be dead before they conclude. And they'll decide he's to old and feeble to stand trial - while they let him continue commanding more invasions and strikes.

That would be good. But, since the Republicans don't want to do that yet, Governor Walz is compelled to defend his citizens in other ways, and, it sounds like the Minnesota military men agree. What's the problem?

[-]HiddenFox0(0|0)

The problem is it's treason. When power inevitable shifts and Dems are in again what's to stop red states from just choosing whatever laws they feel like?

Remember Texas when they wanted to stop people crossing the Rio Grande River? They put up fencing or barbwire or something and the feds made them take it down. Same idea, weather Texas liked it or not it was a federal order. If you pick and choose your laws and orders you follow then you don't have a country anymore.

It depends on how unpopular the federal laws are, and how much damage they're doing. Nations of laws have no problem breaking their own laws, in desperate circumstances.

Looked it up in Wiki. Plutarch's lives, Pompey -- Give it up, stop quoting laws to us, we have swords.

Pretty much, yes. That seems to be exactly what Governor Walz is saying. And, I suspect he's got the Minnesota militia backing him up, they've had enough of Trump's nasty games.

So the insurrectionist Governor wants to start a civil war?

That won't end well for that commie or his fucking commie friends.

[-]jerryk1(+1|0)

He'll have half the governors in the country on his side. And, the Republican governors haven't the guts or the brains to fight them.

We are indeed grateful that buffoon didn’t make vice president.
