There are some channels on YouTube that post good music albums, either because they're the producer, or because they simply have good taste. Some underground stuff from the '70s only pops up now. Honestly the quality is amazing on some of these and you wonder how come it isn't more popular. I'll share some of my recent findings.

  • Captain Beefart. @x0x7 wanted to relisten Nuclear Watermelon which was posted there, that is what prompted this post. This is a producer who posts a few times a year.
  • Neo Prog. Name says it all. Great collection of prog rock.
  • Music Voyager. This one posts actively. Great rock.
  • Jhissac Quiros. This is something completely different, namely pop, but it's good pop. Playlists. Posts actively.

What are some music channels you've discovered recently?

I'm going to make good use of this list. I need new music for the car.

Should I make music.gvid.tv a thing? I'm mostly sick of how unsafe spotify and youtube are to operate in the car. It should be quick to navigate with no gotchas.

Right now it's just a generic directory server. Separate from building UI I could start building up a library. Might as well.

the car

That's the title of a recent Arctic Monkeys album, also highly recommended. They make lounge music now.

Also why not unify it with the stream option in the chat? Which is gone now apparently? Hm music is more individual but it could be cool if it's syncronized with others right? I think the volume is low enough so that there won't be a conflict like someone wants to watch a movie while the other person is in his car listening to music. Maybe down the road.
