potentially introducing a new type of subreddit with "exclusive content or private areas" that Reddit users would pay to access.
Sounds like exclusive groups/clubs and/or OnlyFans/SubStack.
Perhaps you should expect refugees and step up your game.
Add timecode to chat. Add timecode hover over "1 hour ago". Add comments threads for users, subs, sitewide, etc. Basically, add a lot of the features SaidIt/Reddit have if you want those users. More importantly, IMO, have a plan to deal with the unwanted. Keep your standards high to not be dragged down.
I've offered many times - I could develop branding, icons, a logo, and mascot for GoatMatrix with you. I did it for SaidIt. (Though they didn't follow through with all of the things, including their favicon. Disappointing.) I don't recall getting any response at all. If I had something to go on I could start down that path. Even just a "go ahead". I could draw up a page a week of various treatments and ideas, for better and worse, and we could all critically analyze what we like or dislike about each design to build on and refine, democratically. Or I could just do it myself and share my processes. Obviously Google image search and/or A.I. might get you 90% there faster - but IMO it won't ever be perfect for years to come.
Maybe I should just duet. @LarrySwinger, @HighQulaityDickPics
Also, one of these months I aim to dive into learning your CSS to re-dev neo-variants of the several CSS themes I created on SaidIt.
We would have to do effective advertising. I've already worked on a little buzz in that sub. I know Larry tends to be good at that sort of thing.
Go ahead on working on branding stuff. I'm not looking to do anything too extreme stylistically. I know you sent me something before that was very 1984 themed. I'd really like to keep the site theme neutral. Users should create the culture. The only art work on the site is really the logo, home button, mail icon, and placeholder icons for text posts and video links. I'm actually pretty ok with the logo being simple. Maybe we could set up a logo roll where a different day gets a different logo.
Yes. we must duel... oh you said duet. oh. my bad. *puts away flintlock -I'm working on trying to automate a t-shirt shop for roll4d4.com to offset print costs and build revenue for other projects/contract people. Once i figure that out, i'm-a toss what i learned over to x0x7 and if he wants to integrate that approach then cool. I think some matrix swag would be cool, and if i get the workflow set up, then it should just be a matter of uploading graphics and boom. done. No hassle with shipping, printing happens locally to the buyer, so on. Much like KDP and my books.
