So I invited a bunch of peeps from Saidit here and one of them complains that he cannot reset the password to his old account. When he clicks forgot password, nothing happens, it just refreshes. Are you sure it works? I'm thinking maybe he didn't set a email but some feedback on that page would be nice.

I'll have to check it out. All my sites use the same sign in code and I know I have password reset working for gvid, but I don't even have automated email sending here.
I think what I've done in the past for people here is I delete the user record (not the posts) and tell them to re-register it before someone else gets to it. It's not like anyone else knows to grab it.
If anyone needs to they can message me on Saidit with their standard username and I'll delete the record. But I can only do that if the username matches. But Larry is a point of trust so you can also PM me any users that need to be reset.

Also it's crucial to invite users at this time before they check out of it altogether. I'm talking to d3, he doesn't care a whole lot about this shit anymore but hopefully he will fix the website, but nothing's certain now. If we invite people without any coordination then a lot of people are bound to get double invites. Personally I can't really be assed to coordinate anything. It's better when invitations happen organically anyway.
Is d3 interested in coming here? Smart people are good to have around.

Please invite the White Owl Society and /s/Canada folks - and good ones like Drewski, Hibiki, zyxzevn, etc. Remind them of the sunk-cost fallacy and that it's better to build anew than go down with the ship.
Do it yourself man. M7 has been absent for years and the website's on its last leg so your boycott doesn't even make sense at this point, you can just login and invite them. I've invited a bunch of people which costs effort with the clownflare shit going on. I've re-invited zyxzevn already. Not Drewski because he was invited before and has an account here but yeah reminding him of this place can't hurt.
Even if someone on SaidIt posted this and the other top SaidIt-related posts/discussions worth reading - if they care about the future of their community and a future with a real live admin that gives a shit, is technically capable, and is levelheaded.
If anyone can remember back to 2018 to 2020 - it was clear that magnora7 was intelligent, politically aware, and emotionally triggered and irrationally unstable - all before his skill level was evident, management and planning was absent, and shit went off the rails.

My /u/JasonCarswell account was locked out of stuff. That one was in /s/WOS. M7 didn't ban or delete me, he just silenced me and stripped all my subs. IIRC it can only message with folks. I was mod of /s/WOS at one point, I think no longer, and mod of /s/Canada and could see the list of users.
My /u/EdwardDantes was never part of WOS nor mod of anything.
