I like it, but does it really need to be a separate site? Seems like it's splitting up an already small community. To me it makes more sense as a filter on GoatMatrix, like a toggle on the header.
Also, sorry for clogging up your site with news, politics and stuff. It's a big part of what I posted and discussed on Saidit. I posted music, art, self improvement, projects on Saidit (and post some here too) but it never seems to gain the traction that current events does.
Bro. You are literally the best poster. I don't apologize for playing favorites because I'm trying to push the site in a direction. And push it back toward a more tech direction than it had before the Saidit migration.
So it's not really a separate site. It's a portal to view the Matrix content through. Once I have everything done, you will be able to switch which party you are viewing without leaving the domain. But domains and sub-domains will set a default as their standard party.
This means I can actually get more users here more easily, because I can show tech folks, who are the people I want to draw here, a tech site instead of a politics site. Trying to get tech folks onto a politics site is an uphill battle.
But submatrix needs a little more poster diversity. It used to have more. But I think we've bled a lot of the more technical users, since the site became 100% news 100% of the time. Which means I didn't execute this plan fast enough.
The goal isn't to have Submatrix be a tech site and Goatmatrix be a news and politics site. The goal is to have both be a tech site. But Submatrix gets there immediately. Otherwise, if I wait to attempt subtle culture shaping alone, I'm losing ground faster than I can gain it. Goatmatrix has wave collapsed into a news and politics site despite very significant efforts to push it back to its original form.
It's a great place to go if you want to stop getting your mind jerked around by presstitutes.
Submatrix is an example of a 'party.' I'm still developing controls to make your own. I could use some folks to post more content to it. But it only accepts content that is higher up the pyramid of content. Submatix is basically an example of what a site looks like if everything is above the line on the pyramid of content.
Because parties use slege hammers for curation (necissary for it to be tech that can scale efficiently), for content to be on there it has to be by a user that posts >50% of their content above the line on the pyramid of content, and to a sub that is >50% above the line.
Since the Saidit migration, goatmatrix has become completely dominated by news, and so it's unfortunately a pretty small list. But I'd like to change that.
Examples of content that is above the line are more than I can list. But many examples would be philosophy, projects, tech resources, technology related news, events, education, culture, self improvement, humor that is actually funny, and anything that is classy.
Examples of things that are below the line for submatrix. News and politics, non-humor attempts at humor (lazy dog wistles for being a POS as a replacement for thinking of an actual joke).
You sound like a Reddit mod. People will talk tech on Reddit. The only reason to make a Reddit clone is to allow talk that would be censored on Reddit. This should be common sense. But if you don't like such talk why make a Reddit clone? Go talk tech on r/tech
This is called goat matrix. I figured cuz you like the movie matrix? And think it's edgy to have goat symbolism? This ain't a tech only site.
I'm happy to lose users who would prefer voat to voat. If voat doesn't sound very fun because it's trashy, then know the only reason why there is a difference is because I push in a direction. I get negative feedback on me pushing in a direction, but if it's not better for it, then go to voat.
If it is better for it, help me push in that direction.
But we need everyone on the same page what direction we are pushing. It's up the pyramid of content. If that doesn't sound interesting to you then this site shouldn't sound interesting to you, because that is what we are doing.
voats gone but it did also try to be a tech site. That could be a lesson? Dont try to push anything in any direction. The best you can do is nothing, and let the site grow organically. Do you hope to get advertisers? Or to be able to sell the site for millions once it gets popular? Highly unlikely.
Voat does exist. Go to it. If we are talking about old voat, Atko and Putt didn't push in a direction. That's why it became bad.
They wanted it to be a tech site and then did nothing toward that goal. I'm actively telling people who think a constructive and intellegent site sounds lame to go elsewhere. Atko never even bothered to do that.
I'm not linking to current voat because I don't want to encourage userbase overlap. If you decide voat is better for you, please stay there.
What is the talk specifically that you don't like? Epstein stuff? Conspiracy theories? There's a lot being proven true right now you know. So it's bad timing to be against it. Clutter, angst and bitterness? I'd like clarification on where you see that. I do see it from you with this odd post tho.
You said, "No it isn't." I just want to say first off, there isn't a single sentence I said where that grammatically matches as a response.
Let me tell you about a meeting I went to. It was a meetup to work on video games. Often this kind off meeting is called a coding circle. It's a productive kind of meeting where we write actual code and make progress on a project. Now there are different kinds of meetings. There are some for networking. There are some for listening to a speaker and learning about a new topic. But this kind of meeting is for writing code. And as such, it's a pretty quiet meeting. Everyone goes around the circle and spends 30 seconds telling others what they plan to achieve. And then everyone does it. At that halfway point, we talk about our progress. And at the end, we show what actually got built. So it's just a room full of dudes working on their own thing.
I've been to this kind of meeting many times, and they go great. But one time, a guy came in late. He was an art guy and didn't really know how to work with any tools he was trying to use that day, because he wanted to dive into Unity and programming. He spent the entire meeting talking to himself and his computer, and complaining. Eventually, it was so distracting that no one could work. So the meeting just devolved to people talking.
It was ok, but it wasn't the intent of the meeting. The point is, if you want a space for something, you have to make space for it. And you have to have people who are on board with what that space is for.
It's nice to have different kinds of spaces in this world.
The problem is that if a migrant didn't see how the space operated before he entered the room and tries to shape that space to his image of how things should work, then it becomes nearly impossible to get him on board. Because now the space looks like it's for something else. African migrants don't understand that Europe isn't supposed to operate like Africa. And the cost is no place being Europe, if I can give a familiar analogy.
I built this place to be apart from the anti-social right and the anti-social left. Now, how do we communicate to them that there is such a thing as right wing and left wing besides them, and that we want our own space without them? I do. Anyone who also wants that is welcome to join me here.
It's hard because the anti-social right don't think there is any right wing besides themselves, even though most of them are latecomers. And they think of themselves as traditionalists while also standing against any culture that has decency, and decency in general.
If you don't like what a space is or intends to be, just leave. Why is that hard to get? Maybe because you are an anti-social and you don't get the concept of someone making a space for people to do a particular thing, and then doing that thing. Because that would require exposure to normal social behavior and adopting it. And the anti-social right (and left) lack social development. If you do stick around once the site is restored to its intended purpose, maybe we can fix that for you.
TLDR. Looks AI written. Try to stay concise. Guessing threats to ban me? I'm intrigued now so will stay and keep commenting on this. Im curious why you're acting like this just like I was curious about what happened to saidit. I'm banned from Reddit like everyone else here. Voat banned me too. For asking too many questions like this.

Submatrix is designed to be classy at any cost.
Weird post, shut down the site if you hate it so much
Or a person can leave if they don't like the intended purpose of a website.

Youre absolutely correct. m7 was acting like x0x7 and it alienated everyone and died.
