It makes sense. Posts start with a score of one. It's needed for sorting to work. But I guess when I added comments the sort was initially just by date (placeholder algorithm first), and so I guess starting with one wasn't as important.

Like most features added to the site, I have this one set to self-expire after two weeks. But if we find it was the right idea it will be very easy to turn back on permenently.

This also means the bonus to the first comment, two points, will effectively be one point now.
