This is sort of like viewing from domain but for the media type. Because of the nature of URLs there can be some false positive and negative. But it mostly gets it.

Unlike the /domain/ it's not as easy to add to the UI, but it does exist.
Awesome!
Why not? Maybe it could have its own section in the sidebar beneath chat (so you have to scroll to see it), or in the top-bar right-aligned just short links for the most popular extensions. Same for Saved nobody's gonna use those features if the link to it is buried.
There just isn't as natural a place to put it. I guess titles could have the form {My title} (domain) (.jpg)
But I think that will look excessive. IDK. Maybe I should do it.
What do you mean? It's simply about links to the URLs in the OP, right? The one for .jpgs can have the title jpg, .pdfs can use pdf, etc. It can be very minimal but I think we're talking about different things?
OP? My mind goes to original poster. Hopefully we don't have to pull a Zoolander to get those links.
So here it says (self) because it's a text post. That's the domain. In this case only sort of. So to make the /extension/ utility more available I'd have to do a parallel thing. Maybe we're talking about the same thing. But I don't know what you mean by OP so who knows?
Original post. The topbar can easily fit "jpg pdf html" in it for those extensions.
Yeah. I think I'll do it. It's more a question if it is clutter than if there is space.
That's a good point. The PDF URL isn't useful because of the low volume. What I do like about this is that you can browse based on your current attention span. Sometimes I'm just quickly checking the website and I'd prefer to limit myself to a few images, those will probably be memes for a quick laugh. At other times I'm looking for a video to watch while having lunch. And at yet other times I have spare time and don't want the brain rot, but instead prefer reading an article. So perhaps it's more useful to categorize them by medium like image, video, article rather than extension. But to be honest my first intuition was that this was gonna be a filter which you can use on any page you're viewing. Isn't that more in line with this site's theme of customizability? So perhaps the bar with Custom has room for medium buttons, and I don't mean under Custom, but as its own set of buttons next to Custom / Hot / New / Top. Interestingly https://conspiracies.win already has this feature.
