Debian often suggests breaking changes to the bootloader from a simple update while I've never had Windows rendered unbootable from the same. It's so stable that they can afford to impose automatic updates. The guy on the right is happy because he put the commands in the wrong order so that it doesn't actually update anything and his system remains bootable.
