Are we approaching critical mass at 10%? That's at the point where there is enough people who can show the rest a free, open source, non AI operating system with free office suite that you are in total control of.
Apple is good with backward compatibility though, machines from 2016 can run the latest macos, people just don't update. Which is strange, it means their browsers are out of date as well. Firefox dropped support in 2023. There are only security updates.
Tbh I have one Sierra machine with firefags from 2023 and it works for the most part only heavy webapps don't. I don't blame those people. I end up regretting about every update I download, they just add more bullshit every time especially with Firefags.

Linux shares just passed up MacOS shares.
It's weird that OS X and macOS are listed separately. I wonder how that happens.
OS X is the old OS, and macOS is the new OS. Apple changed the term.
Crazy that there is still more OS X than macOS. That was in 2016(?) that the change happened.
People can't afford new Macs, so they keep their old Macs with OS X.

They use old web browsers and don't update them. I saw it on my Wordpress Blog before WP ate up too much resources and RAM.

That is why I use Brave, it just works.
Brave is nice but no history retainment beyond 3 months is a dealbreaker for me.
Anything can become trendy now, even Linux!
