Thanks I picked up the correction from feminazis but didn't quite trust because I figured they'd just cherry pick whatever promotes more rights for women it's good to have the explanation.
Sometimes when you have forces that make it hard to collect reliable data, as unreliable as any social data automatically is, I tend to prefer logic over data anyway.
If you make something illicit that illicit thing is going to be trafficked by criminals. Usually violent criminals. Being that their work is illegal they can get tripped up very easily by anyone who snitches. So they are already in the business of getting what they want (not being snitched on) by being maximally threatening. They will continue to get other things they want by being maximally threatening.
When everything is legal why wouldn't someone work for someone who is actually nice? Of course not all employers are nice in any industry even in a legal market. But if you put up with a shitty employer instead of moving onto a good employer that's on you. Then they aren't being trafficked if that happens. They just have a shitty relationship with an employer they could end by talking to anyone else in that industry. Which would now be legal and easy to do.
