Is this to imply that the Jesuits were plotting against Israel? The article is more interesting than the youtube.

But no where in the article is it suggested that any of those agents were Jesuit, or that their relationship with Ali Hassan Salameh was centered around grooming him for a Munich attack. The CIA had a legitimate interest in having connections with the PLO, even if Israel disliked it.

This is how countries should act. They should have relationships with people who are beneficial to them. Or even have preliminary relationships staged in case things change on the ground. This is true even if an ally doesn't like it. Because allies are allies, not managers.

Mentioned in the article was one Israeli Mossad who said, "how would the Americans like it if we had a relationship with Osama Bin Laden?" Well, Mossad had advanced knowledge of the Sept 11 hijackers and didn't warn us. The article didn't suggest that we had foreknowledge about the Munich attack. That would be more comparable. And Saudi Arabia did have a relationship with Osama. Yet the US and Saudi Arabia have been allies. I suppose the US is more understanding.
