What makes you so interested in Japan?

Not sure how that's appealing beyond mere status symbol.

Interesting that it's only white or black or bling teeth that people do now.

There are so many colours and combinations.
Why aren't woke folks making their grill a rainbow?

I like subtle small fangs for a hint of danger. Too big and obvious and you're trying too hard. Too small and you won't notice.

I think it has to do with showing teeth being rude in Japan. Super especially if female. So it means there is no risk of accidentally showing your teeth.

Teeth are considered rude to show in Japan because it is the only place where bone is visible. Technically teeth aren't bones. But it's a reminder of death. Showing someone a part of your skeleton is as bad as pulling a gotse.

I'd be curious to see the reaction of a Japanese woman in Japan to a European with ohaguro black teeth.

Or showing up like that in a Japanese executive meeting.

Black teeth has made a comeback in areas of high meth consumption.

A parallel path to a similar outcome.
