Gvid is small enough that it hasn't gotten one. But it's another way to hot link at least their video content solving some similar problems. Like X not letting people have sound unless they are signed in.

I don't suppose anyone has tried to make some kind of site-browser thing where folks could both surf and archive their stuff to IPFS (or other P2P or even back to a centralized site hub) that would then present content with comparisons between archived and current content (while filtering out ads).
Yeah, private instances should still work unless x breaks something (which they may well do). It does require x accounts to do the scraping, but small or private instances may fly under the radar.

https://nitter.kareem.one still seems to be working, but it's quite slow, probably since the other instances are down.
I also found https://twitterwebviewer.com, it's not as good as nitter though as it doesn't work without javascript.
