I don't actually want parental controls.

But I wouldn't mind some access controls - or permissions.

Why?

I will soon be shooting footage for the LeverMind Variety Show, featuring Santa Libertas. I may like to share some footage with some privileged folks with the credentials to access it for feedback. I may like to share some rough cuts with some logged-in Matrix folks to see how it could be improved (perhaps via LeverMind.SubMatrix.net?) And then after I have at least 5 of the first 14 shows finished and uploaded, (along with all of my social media, public relations, and financial stuff set up), I'll start releasing them on all platforms eventually, starting with Matrix sites (in order to invite like-minded voluntaryists (and probably detractors)). If I get financially squashed, imprisoned, or even suicided, the show may yet go on without me (with timed releases).

This is a long slow burn project, so I'm in no hurry, and quite busy with much else.

I also have the Chew.Tube and Volun.Tube domains. Perhaps @LarrySwinger could set up an Invidious instance for the first and PeerTube instance for the latter?

Thoughts?

Sounds like Google+ Circles feature (now defunct):

Google+ Circles allow Google+ users to organize people into groups for sharing across various Google products and services.

Once a circle was created, a Google+ user could share specific private content to only that circle. For example, work-themed content could be shared with only colleagues, and one's friends and family could see more personal content and photos.

Livejournal also has something like that (user lists).
