The streets officially support cyclists. It doesn't mean it's not impossible to do something annoying to others on a bike. Cross posting is a tool. The correct amount and way to use a tool is more.. as long as benefits outweight costs. That's marginal thinking. At one cross post there is a benefit. We are filling in common subs faster so we get to the point that people can browse by subs quicker. But even at one cross post there is a slight cost. And like most things, the more you do of something you have deminishing gains and compounding costs. So there is some point at which stopping makes sense.
Now, maybe it's not my place to tell you how to use it. But I wouldn't be shocked if people dislike having have the /new page slid by a single post and they would downvote it. And I'm not deduping /new because that one should have every post. Don't throw me under the bus if you use a tool in a way that annoys others.
Balance is a virtue. If you think more is always better, maybe more balance is better.
