Damn it. I wanted this to continue. At least long enough for us to realize airports can fund their own air traffic control. The most likely day is the 12th (Wednesday).
The news has had no significant impact favoring either the Dems or Repubs for 2026 control, at least so far, indicating that this has had a neutral political outcome. It is considered virtually guaranteed that government employees will receive back pay for the days they didn't work, like always. At least we should be happy we didn't get all the government we paid for.
The Senate is the most likely to start the ball rolling, with 80% odds, with a low earlier today of 23%. So at one point it was considered likely the House would be the first to get the ball rolling. With odds of only 80% there is still that chance.
We are not going to have a continuation of the Obama-care insurance premium subsidy. So insurance companies with go without their unearned profits.
