At present I've only had time to listen to Ian's discussion of 'what was Epstein's role in the 2008 crash?' and was prepared not to believe some of it, but it all checks out, every word of it, and connects very well with Epstein's other activities with wealthy assholes. The Bear Stearns and Chase corruption has been well known, but I hadn't realized Epstein's connection to it. I also remember at the time that Bear Stearns did not deserve a bailout. When it comes to corruption of this kind, Americans are way too docile. Heads should have rolled, so to speak. The fact that those people got away with it was likely encouragement for the kind of corruption we see today in geopolitics. It should never be normalized, in a capitalist country. Banks should fail when they're corrupt. Otherwise the US is essentially Socialist for the .001%.

I was skeptical too.
However it is clear he had deep ties on Wall Street, Washington (he started The Clinton Foundation, helped Musk, etc.), and Israel - so it's not that far a stretch.
And now it's confirmed he claimed he was a representative of the Rothschilds.

I remember when bankers were threatening the collapse of western civilization if they didn't get the bailouts they demanded.

Jews gotta grab de money!

Too big to fail means we're too small to succeed.

I didn't get a vote to bail the banksters out.
Or to panic over COVID.
Or to raise taxes.
Or to start wars.

Representative democracy is as corrupt as it gets.
Direct democracy now!

Direct Democracy can vote to take away rights from certain types of people, a Republic has a Constitution that protects rights.

Direct Democracy can vote to take away rights

True. Then I'd say the culture would be corrupt (ie. Israel).

a Republic has a Constitution that protects rights

In theory. It's exceptionally evident the USofA is very corrupt and doesn't follow its own checks and balances, constitution, and laws.

I despise all governments.

Bonus points come from commenting. Not from not posting. It helps pull discussion away from chat and into the threads. At least someone is going to respond to that incentive and that will get conversations started in the threads, at least more reliably.

Also, if Epstein popped a bubble, he couldn't have popped a bubble if one hadn't formed. And that bubble once made was guarenteed to pop. The prior period's artificially low interest rates are responsible for that crash.

Please make a post with all this and more.

It may be clear to you, and you may think you're being clear when you do outline stuff - but so often you're not.

The discussion continued after you left chat.

One more note: x0x7 said " Jason. It's like you said. Communicating the outcome you want doesn't work. I've done that. You said I should use forcing functions. You hate your own ideas when implemented. " I don't think the communications were clear, as it requires understanding, and many of us (me included) still don't know where you want to go - or why, to what ends. It's not uncommon for folks to write a great essay that no one else understands. I didn't say to use force-functions, or not, it was a recommendation for inspiration to develop positive results. Force-functions should include community feedback. Another way to explain it is like training an unbroken animal, in that you don't just apply maximum force when it doesn't do what you want. The unspoken dialogue is developed. You'll need to start wide then narrow down and people will get it - gradually. (Lube helps.)

The bonus points and algo-meddling would be best left out of the vote score.

This crash harmed a lot of people. As Jimmy Dore often states, it kicked 8 million people out of their homes.

It destroyed the animation industry - and my career. I started taking "anti"-depressants, which ended my former life, almost took my life, and beyond mere fascination I began my dedication to autonomy, conspiracy analysis, and truth-seeking.
