I haven't posted in a day.
I've loaded up the Whenever queue, but it didn't post anything yesterday.
And now this 3-in-1 post only gets 1 vote with zero bonus points.
I hope we're getting rid of all bonus points and fake numbers to just let the algo do the meddling. If the algo is tweaked at least it's not overtly meddling with my mind and sense of fairness.
Unless the bonus points get retracted after a week or few, they are just lies. In the future a lousy meme with 4 point will seem more popular than a good essay that got overlooked with only 1. A the very least the crap and the overlooked should be at the same starting point.
If we're keeping the bonus points, the PostWhenever should not infringe upon the bonus points of a normal post. While I'm reading the daily news, prepping a link post, or composing a text post, the PW may have posted and used up my bonus points - and thus my normal post will miss out on bonus points. This is extremely frustrating if I'm saving up my subjectively good content worth noticing or thoughtful composition or only have one morning-before-work chance to benefit from bonus points that don't pay out.
Further, the bonuses seem extremely arbitrary. We should have the terms public so we'll know when there will be bonuses - such as every 4 or 6 hours the bonus resets, so additional posts within that time will get no bonuses.
Also, I'd like the ability to see my own content (u/JasonCarswell) without the (rigged) points over time algo thing with both. I'd like to see one or the other: chronologically and most popular - and the third can be both, perhaps with a time window adjustment (ie. ranked in the last week, the last month, from Sept to Oct of last year, for all time (a default?), or whatever).
