I canceled my Prime membership a few months ago partly because of the ads and partly because I don't think their content is as good as it was when I signed up. It's mostly older movies now plus some original content that I don't watch. I can watch older movies with ads for free on other platforms. The shipping savings are not worth it any more, either.
I was wondering the same and may also cancel it. Also, the owner is a POS and his companies have effectively destroyed much of the world's smaller markets and businesses.
