I saw this video a little while ago and after watching a Louise Rossman video a little after I came to a different conclusion. Right now might be exactly the time to buy Bambu Lab printers. They are under priced with the assumption they'll make money off their proprietary BS. That can be circumvented. They are going to lose this battle and have to raise prices to reflect them being purely a hardware company. Depending how under priced they are (I'm not sure), you could actually be sticking it to them by buying them (then using your own slicer).
Are they really selling their printers at a loss though? I'm glad people have found workarounds, but I think it makes more sense to buy a printer that supports open source firmware from the start.

IDK, someone else would have to do the math.
