3D Printing is good for retro computers that need replacement parts, like the plastic rings found in the EX-64 Commodore Executive 64 portable computer.
It's crazy that California wants to make doing tech harder. It would make less secure the extent of Silicon Valley's dominence if this regulation wasn't getting exported outside of their jurisdiction. I guess there is no advantage of leaving the state if you have to obey California's laws everywhere.
