The whole thing is just a means to gain more control. They cherry pick every single ban they put in place. It's a joke and it does nothing and nothing will come of it. When they banned torrents here, for a short period of time the major sites would be blocked. Then they would come back under different names and they would sometimes get blocked. Now nothing gets blocked. That is, until something comes up they dont like. Such as when melbourne had city wide protests and they tried to ban helicopter footage showing how many people were involved.
Australian government is just a mouthpiece of joos anyway. So nothing new.
