I have the cookies set to the maximum. Your browser settings are clearing cookies more aggressively than others. In theory because that's what you want your browser to do? In theory there are other hacks that can be used besides cookies to persist a login state. But I'm opting to respect the user's browser settings.
I can look into some of these other methods if people want me to. Back in my day setting a maximum age on a cookie was enough.
I have the same experience with Vanadium in grapheneos as well as tor browser on gnu. In theory, it's because that's what I want them to do. In reality I cannot get them to keep cookies no matter what I try. They aggressively discard then because privacy. I'm not requesting an alternative though. I use a combination of browsers. I'm actually staying logged in on my main phone browser einkbro however I used the wrong credentials and I'm too lazy to fix it now hence my alternative name.
Yeah, if you stayed logged in in those browsers that would be concerning. BTW you aren't really supposed to use TOR with javascript running or it defeats the entire point because anyone who actually wanted to break it could. Exploits out of TOR with javascript is a whackamole where it's assumed there are moles above ground.
But I suppose you aren't using TOR for anything serious.
It's simply what I use to browse the web. The point is a layer of protection against mass surveillance. It's like shutting blinds to me. If someone wants to discover my VPN's IP address I suppose they can. No-one has a reason to look for it, nor would I care.
The Boogerman might use your PC, and if you are logged in remembered he can post and comment and people will think it is you.

Come to think of it, I do do some naughty things I visit https://gvid.tv.
I'll check the settings. This happens on Android using brave browser. I'll verify if this happens on my Linux Mint desktop sometime later.
