Goof Troop for SNES. It's a game you can finish in two hours realistically, very short but it's so good that you can replay it over and over again. It's an adventure game with just five or so levels that all have eye for detail, with their own unique foes and objects in the environment you interact with. The casual feel, graphics, music, simply everything about the game is about having fun first and foremostly.
I mean this is part of the exploration you gotta do yourself... You can kick the metal things with A to get them out of the way but only if there's nothing behind it. This is a puzzle type game btw.

I found it here. TBH I got stuck on the first real stage. How do you get those gems?
