I've seen a bit of hate for them online. But my question is, what did they do to you?

Is there any justifiable reason to dislike them or prediction markets? If not, what is motivating their hatred?

I have mixed feelings; while I believe in the right of people to gamble and operate gambling sites, I think the rise of sports betting and prediction markets has been a net negative for society. I wouldn't feel right having one as an affiliate or sponsor. I also don't like how people are betting on current events like the Iran war with apparent inside information. To be fair, I also hate war and the military industrial complex which profits off death and destruction.

Half of everyone is stupider than average, and most folks are simply close to average in most ways.

This includes weakness to gambling, usury, porn, substance abuse, greed, gluttony, sloth, apathy, lack-of-respect, just-following-orders, uncritical-lives, and other vices.

In the spirit of uncensored autonomy, how you spend/waste your time and energy are up to you - but it becomes everyone's problem when it impacts society poorly.
Natural Law demands balance.

The predatory gambling is aggressively marketed to weak desperate minds who don't have the ability to lose what they may still have.
How many of them are now homeless?
This is the problem.

They might as well also be aggressively marketing the gambling with MAID.

Do you feel the same way if these sites are described as a binary futures platform? Isn't it kind of the same thing as investors betting on the future price of carrots?

Anticipation =/= gambling.

I do like gambling like I play poker and that's predicting what cards others might have. I do stock market. But it's like a lot of things you can go too far and lose a lot. Oh well.
