There was this professor for saying he hasn't had a girlfriend in a long time because he can be presumptuous but he said it in a clumsy way that made it sound like girls cry more quickly than men. I believe he was a dean for decades.
There was also a woman who made an apparently controversial tweet, then stepped into an airplane and had no connection, then by the time she arrived at her destination the tweet had gone all around the world, her employer had been contacted, and she was fired. Those are the two that I'll always remember.
Even if that wasn't what he meant, if he had said that intentionally it is true. No one should get canceled for saying something that is true.
It's so odd that this is normal in schools when you consider the root of western intellectualism comes from Plato/Socrates/Aristotle. Basically the entire basis of western intellectualism is supposed to be rejecting the idea of canceling people for being right or questioning what you assume is right.
And yet schools seem to go out of their way to train and reward this emotional reflex into people.
It's not odd to me. (((They))) are at war with us. We are only educated reasonably well as long as it serves their goals. If they switched things suddenly more of us would notice. Gradually they subvert what works when they want confusion, division, and managed decline.

I kept calling out his bullshit, shitty "leadership", and great waste of SaidIt's potential - including his arbitrary rule (specifically made for me, who was ever-trying to better organize SaidIt) of only modding 40 subs max, then taking all of my subs away. I quit after that, and have since found my account unable to comment or post. When I have more time I can go into how absolutely fucking retarded that was/is on MANY levels (as well as several of his other rules).

I've noticed a divide between commenters and voters. The commenters here were mostly reasonable. The first ones in weren't. But reasonable people ended up joining the thread. But notice despite productive discussion and proof in the comments that people get canceled for things even they can admit is lame it is at -3 votes. That's because the real minders on that site are a bunch of people hovering over /new.
