Uniparty is a cult. Cuz they brainwash you. Left right paradigm is meaningless, this is an example of why. A "right wing" repub doing "left wing" things? Happens all the time and vice versa.
Life isn't black and white, it isn't binary. They give you a repub or dem to choose to dumb it down. It's harder to consider each issue on its own but that's life.
So are you against a car being shut down by the govt? It's not a left or right voice. It's common sense or insanity choice.
Sadly, it's impossible to consider each issue on its own when you are running a republic. That's why you need the Swiss system that runs direct democracy in parallel, so citizens can start to think about individual issues.
You're not running a republic. And you could consider issues on their own, no that is not impossible lol. Swiss system? Kind of a unique situation. Not a democracy but maybe you like how they pretend to be neutral?
Ok. So if you consider each issue on its own, which you should do, what action are you going to take after considering them? In a republic your option is to vote for one single person. So mentally you might be considering each issue independently, but if you can only act on issues as a group it doesn't matter what you think. What is the point of thought without action? If you have to act on them as a group it would have been just as good to think of them as a group, which you and I both agree isn't good.
I'm not talking about Swiss neutrality. I'm talking about their political system. Abundent referendums that can veto government actions. There people can vote on individual issues. That's an actually useful control interface. Imagine if your car only had one button that represented the steering, the gas, the AC, and the radio. You couldn't control that car. And so voting on a representitive once every four years is not a useful interface for people to have control over their government.
At that point I might choose to not have a car. Cars are pretty flawed anyway.
Maybe this is the outcome they really want. They don't hate it.
It's interesting that they are still pursuing this with the Trump administration and Republican houses. We do have a uniparty.

Maybe this could be the game. Finding the new articles.
