Still relevant though I think. I like the idea of Nostr, which is a decentralized and cryptographic social media network. In practice it's cumbersome to use, and that's coming from a techie.
It's still unclear to me how do they plan to fight with spam problem - it's very easy to generate millions of key pairs/accounts, and who exactly would police millions of posts which can be created with those? Relay owners? But those are supposedly maintained by non-commercial entities, I doubt they can do more than banning IPs/domains/urls.
