Holy FUCK - late stage capitalism has DESTROYED society in the US. First they came for the cane sugar in Coca Cola, replacing it with high-fructose corn syrup in 1980-84. Also, Reagan was elected, and used OUR Social Security money to pay US debts. But we didn't care because we thought it didn't effect us directly. Then they cut the nutrition in school lunches at grade schools throughout the US in the 1990s, fucking up childrens' nutrition. But we didn't care because we thought it didn't effect us directly. Now cocoa is being systematically removed from chocolate bars and Reese's Cups (not just in the US). Well you know what? This does effect us.
