People are still allowed to do other dangerous things: sky dive, bungee jump, ski, bathe in slippery showers, golf in thunderstorms, drink, smoke, say anti-Semitic things...
Gun crime won't be enhanced with more guns. Bad men with guns get stopped by good men with guns. Take the guns away from good men and all you'll have left is bad men with guns not being stopped. When everyone has a gun, only stupid people will try stupid actions.
